EXCLUDED OR NON-QUALIFYING LEAKS
1. A leak in the first year of a builder's or manufacturer's warranty.
2. A leak resulting from accident or abuse (e.g. nail in pipe or pipe hit with shovel) or act of nature (e.g. flood, fire storm, vermin, etc.).
3. A leak at an adaptor to a fixture. Examples of fixtures are sinks, toilets, tubs, and water heaters, except that such leaks are covered if they are inside the wall.
4. A leak which may be repaired without the need of cutting into a wall or ceiling in or at a valve, riser or a supply line to a fixture.
5. A leak in a small-diameter ice maker line unless it is inside the wall.
6. A leak within six feet of a water heater that may be repaired without cutting into a wall or ceiling if it is the first leak experienced in the system.
7. A leak at a fitting of a metal fitting system installed after 1/1/89 if it is the first leak in the system or the first leak after a water heater leak described in (6) above.
